Moldovan diplomacy head has phone conversation with Cypriot counterpart

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - Subjects of interest on the Moldovan-Cypriot bilateral agenda, as well as the regional cooperation, prospects for deepening the bilateral political dialogue, considering ways of boosting the commercial and economic ties and extending the bilateral legal framework were the main subjects tackled at a phone conversation between Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Aureliu Ciocoi and Foreign Affairs Minister of Cyprus Nikos Christodoulidis.
According to the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s (MAEIE) press service, the heads of the two diplomacies expressed interest in fostering the political and diplomatic dialogue, both at high level, and between the foreign affairs ministries. The officials agreed to hold inter-ministerial political consultations at the level of state secretaries in early next year.
The sides exchanged opinions on the regional developments and tackled subjects of common interest on the bilateral agenda, such as the advancement of the commercial and economic cooperation and investment relations, as well as the extension of the bilateral legal framework.
Also, Aureliu Ciocoi and Nikos Christodoulidis referred to Moldova’s European agenda. They also highlighted the usefulness of the Cypriot expertise in the consolidation of the political association and economic integration between Moldova and the European Union, as well as the assistance provided to overcome the economic and social consequences of the pandemic.
