Violence against physicians to be sanctioned in Moldova

Chisinau, 16 December /MOLDPRES/ - The violence against physicians and medical employees, who are fulfilling their office duties, will be sanctioned. The parliament today approved a draft on the amendment and completion of the Criminal Law and the Civil Law in the final reading.

Under the draft, the abusing of physicians or medical employees will be sanctioned with fine worth up to 1,250 lei. At the same time, the abusing, accompanied by hooliganism and/or bodily injury, will be sanctioned with fines worth up to 7,500 lei or contravention arrest of up to 15 days.
