Farmers resumed protest in front of Moldovan parliament

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/- Dozens of farmers returned this morning to protest in front of parliament. Farmers say they want the government to resign, demand snap polls and want the repeal of budget laws passed by MPs yesterday. The parliament building and other nearby institutions are guarded by law enforcement.
Farmers say they will protest peacefully and ask the authorities to listen to their demands.
IGP employees came up with a lot of recommendations in the context of the farmers' protest and asked them to follow the law and prevent violations of public order and safety.
Farmers in many districts of the country have been protesting for several days in the center of the capital. On 16 December, they demanded compensation for the losses suffered as a result of the drought and the VAT rate be revised.
