As many as 1,590 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 December /MOLDPRES/- In the last 24 hours, 3,803 tests were processed in Moldova, being confirmed 1,590 cases of infection with the new coronavirus, of which five were imported. So far, 131,919 cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection (MSMPS), out of the total number of cases, 79 are medical workers: doctors - 32, nurses - 33, auxiliary staff - 14.

8,529 people are being treated at home with mild forms of COVID-19, and 30,880 are under home supervision.

Another 1,553 people were healed. A total of 114,230 people were treated with COVID-19.

MSMPS reports the registration of another 24 deaths caused by COVID-19, the death toll reached 2,674.

So far, 62 medical workers have died from COVID-19.
