Ten thousand personal protection kits to be distributed to travelers at customs points in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- Ten thousand personal protection kits will be distributed today to travelers in the most requested crossing points of the state border. The action takes place in the context of the International Migrants' Day.

According to the General Inspectorate of Border Police, the kits comprise two personal protective masks, disinfectant, antibacterial wet wipes and leaflets with useful information on health rules.

The kits will be distributed at nine border crossings. The action is part of the project on improving the national response of the Republic of Moldova to the COVID-19 crisis, where the Border Police benefited from 130 thousand protective masks, 100 thousand nitrile gloves and 16 thermal scanners. The total amount of the donation is 15 thousand euros.

The action takes place at the initiative of the Border Police and with the support of the IOM and UN Moldova Representation, jointly with the Office of the Embassy of the Netherlands in Chisinau.
