Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- Today Prime Minister Ion Chicu sent a congratulatory message on National Police Day, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The message reads:
"Dear officers of the National Police,
This day is dedicated to the professionalism of the National Police officers, who daily make major efforts to ensure public order and human security. Today we mark the 30th anniversary of the founding of internal affairs bodies of the Republic of Moldova - a period of constant actions to modernize the force structures.
Police officers represent state, law, justice and the security of each citizen depends on each police officer. The police restore confidence in society through a responsible attitude, through competent and professional work, through a prompt reaction to everyone's problems. It is important to act decisively in the interest of the country, to apply the law in the interest of truth.
I express my deep gratitude to veterans of the National Police and thank them for their work to prevent and combat crime, as well as for their valuable contribution to the education and development of young employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. This is enormously valuable, or we all see young people lining up in complicated situations to solve difficult missions.
Dear policemen,
On this occasion, I congratulate you on behalf of the government and on my own behalf. I wish you health, success, hard work and strength to continue to honor your duties with dignity.
I pass on good thoughts and gratitude to your families, which motivate and encourage you to be stronger. All your achievements and successes are their merit, shown by the support and understanding.
Happy Birthday, the National Police of the Republic of Moldova! ”
