Another 200 beds for coronavirus patients to be prepared at Covid-19 Center

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall is preparing 200 beds at the Covid-19 Center for coronavirus patients.

Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said that the municipality is preparing 200 beds to be activated if necessary. At the same time, the possibility of additional activation of another 140 beds is being examined, so that in case of a health crisis in Chisinau there will be a total of 340 beds.

Since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, municipal hospitals have been adapted one by one and activated several wards or blocks for the hospitalization and treatment of coronavirus patients, and several medical institutions have been reorganized.

Ceban said that from 43 million lei has been offered from the municipal budget for the management of the COVID pandemic, and resources were allocated for equipping doctors and hospitals from the reserve fund and donations on behalf of the Chisinau city hall.
