Moldova's Police marks 30th anniversary

Chisinau, 18 December /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan police today marks the 30th anniversary. Top officials came up with congratulatory messages.

Acting President Igor Dodon posted a message on his official website thanking law enforcement for their hard work in fulfilling their responsibilities under the law and for their devotion.

Prime Minister Ion Chicu said "18 December is dedicated to the professionalism of the employees of the National Police, who make major efforts every day to ensure public order and security of people".

Speaker Zinaida Greceanii said that in the three decades, the National Police has got vast experience and created new values in vocational training, based on democratic principles, primacy of fundamental human rights.

On 18 December 1990, the Moldovan parliament adopted the Law on Police. Thus, the National Police started its activity.
