As many as 629 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 20 December /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 1,768 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 629 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 135,207 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 33 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 10, medical assistants –16, auxiliary staff employees – 7.

A number of 3,369 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 257 are in extremely serious condition (59 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 8,359 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 31,760 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 1,633 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 118,635 people were treated of COVID-19.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 25 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,752 people dead because of the virus till present.
