Number of coronavirus infections in schools in Chisinau down

Chisinau, 21 December /MOLDPRES/- There were 235 cases of coronavirus in municipal educational institutions, down by 27 than last week.

Deputy mayor of Chisinau Angela Cutasevici said today at the online meeting of the municipal services that the number of COVID-19 infections in schools is decreasing. "On 18 December there were 235 cases of coronavirus, down by 27 than last week," Cutasevici said.

The official noted that 3,331 pupils are in self-isolation, studying in 64 schools in Chisinau. Cutasevici said that only one kindergarten child is registered as suffering from coronavirus.

In Chisinau there are 130 educational institutions in which 91,933 pupils study, and 30,739 children are enrolled in the 134 early education institutions.
