Amendments to audiovisual media services code of Moldova published in Official Journal

Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - The decree on promulgation and the law on the audiovisual media service code of Moldova have been published in the Official Journal (Monitorul Oficial) and entered into force.

Thus, the Article 17, paragraph 4 of the Code will have the following content: ‘’To protect the national audiovisual space and ensure the national information security, the media services providers and the media services distributors have right to include in the offer of services the broadcasting of television and radio programmes with military content, local and procured from third countries, which meet the provisions of the information security Concept and Strategy of Moldova.’’

The initiative on the amendment of the legislation belonged to the MPs of the parliamentary faction of the Party of Socialists, Bogdan Tirdea, Vasile Bolea and Adrian Lebedinschi.
