Chisinau, 22 December /MOLDPRES/ - The MPs of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) have ruled not to back the dismissal of the cabinet of ministers. Yet, they reiterated the position on the need to dissolve the parliament and organize snap elections. Acting President Igor Dodon today made statements to this effect, noting that he had participated in the meeting of the PSRM faction, during which this decision was taken.
According to the quoted source, the participants in the meeting summed up the results of the parliament’s autumn session. ‘’I thanked the PSRM lawmakers for the support of my social and economic initiatives. We also referred to the extraordinary parliament meeting, scheduled for 23 December, during which the motion of censure against the Chicu government is to be discussed,’’ Dodon said.
He specified that the PSRM faction members would continue discussions to identify an optimum solution to launch the procedure of parliament’s dissolution.
Thirty four MPs of the parliament’s opposition submitted a motion of censure against the government led by Ion Chicu at the last meeting of this session.
