Forum of Researchers from National Libraries' System held in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 December /MOLDPRES/ - The fifth issue of the Forum of Researchers of the National System of Libraries, titled Library education – intelligent strategy for library and community: 60 years since foundation, took place at the National Library of Moldova in the online format.

The event was organized by the National Library of Moldova (BNRM), in partnership with the Education, Culture and Research Ministry and Librarians’ Association of Moldova (ABRM) and had the goal to point out the indispensability of the profession of librarian, as well as the need to educate professionals for the development of the library sector through the higher education.

Contacted by MOLDPRES, the BNRM president, Elena Pintilei, said that the Moldovan State University during years had ensured education and professional training in the higher vocational education through strategies of interaction, efficiency of mentoring and achieving the highest standards specific for the education system from Moldova.

University professors, librarians, alumni of the specialty librarianship and information sciences, researchers from Moldova and Romania participated in the forum.
