Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/- The today Official Journal published the decision amending the Regulation on remuneration of employees of the public medical-sanitary institutions included in the compulsory medical assistance insurance system. From 1 January 2021, medical staff in the country will get wagess up by 30%.

Also, the project provides for a 3% increase in official salaries for administrative-household staff, analogous to that in the budget sector. The supplement for night work will be granted for medical staff working in the subdivisions for premature babies. For this purpose, about 76.6 thousand lei was provided annually.

About 1.12 billion lei is provided to grant higher wages. The decision is meant for over 40,000 health workers.

In total, in 2020 -2021, the government has earmarked over 1.8 billion lei to increase medical staff wages in Moldova.
