Official Journal publishes decision on increase of one-off childbirth allowance

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/- From 2021, one-off childbirth allowance will increase by 1,160 lei and will amount to 9,459 lei, currently being 8,299 lei. The government's decision to amend the Regulation on establishment and payment of allowances for families with children was published in the Official Journal today.

Also, the monthly allowance for child care will be increased, up to the age of two, to uninsured persons: from 640 lei to 740 lei. The government has planned financial means worth 52 million lei for 42,558 children.

42 million lei for 36 245 children was provided in state budget for earmarking the benefits.
