As many as 1,222 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,498 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 1,222 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 11 import ones. As many as 139,435 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.
According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 62 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 14, medical assistants –33, auxiliary staff employees –15.
A number of 3,256 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 269 are in extremely serious condition (52 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).
In the context, 7,785 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 35,141 are under supervision at the domicile.
Another 1,310 people have been treated and discharged. As many as 123,924 people were treated of COVID-19.
At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 23 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,848 people dead because of the virus till present.
