Writer, filmmaker Vlad Ioviță would have turned 85 years

Chisinau, 24 December /MOLDPRES/- Prose writer, screenwriter and film director Vlad Ioviță, winner of the State Award, would have turned 85 today.
Writer Vladimir Beșleagă said that Vlad Ioviță wrote a very interesting prose, cinematographic and plastic. "He was a very good documentary filmmaker. He is the author of the documentaries "Paienjenisul", "Malanca", "Mastile iernilor noastre", "Dansuri de toamna", as well as the feature films "Nunta la palat", "Dimitrie Cantemir" etc.", he said.
According to writer Nicolae Popa, Vlad Ioviţă was a versatile personality, who excelled both in cinema and literature, ballet and painting.
In 1976, he was awarded the State Prize and in 1982 he was awarded the honorary title Honored Master of Arts. Vlad Ioviţă passed away on June 24, 1983. Today, the high school in his native village, Cocieri, Dubasari, bears his name.
