Moldovan president meets SIS director

Chisinau, 26 December /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu had a meeting today with Director of the Intelligence and Security Service Alexandr Esaulenco, the presidential press service has reported.

The current situation in Moldova and the risks to state security were discussed at the meeting.

Maia Sandu reiterated her stance on the fight against corruption and the strengthening of state institutions to ensure national security.

"Citizens expect the state institutions to work in the interest of the people and to be guided in their legal activity", Maia Sandu said.
