As many as 569 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 28 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,598 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 569 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which four import ones. As many as 141,924 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 28 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians – 6, medical assistants –19, auxiliary staff employees –3.

A number of 3,158 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 263 are in extremely serious condition (55 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 409 people have been treated. As many as 127,813 people were treated of COVID-19.

In the context, 7,475 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 33,922 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 18 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,909 people dead because of the virus till present.
