Romanian president visits Chisinau

Chisinau, 29 December /MOLDPRES/- Rmanian President Klaus Iohannis today pays an official visit to Chisinau at the invitation of Moldovan President Maia Sandu. The two officials will hold a joint conference this afternoon.

According to the presidency, the military-protocol ceremony will take place at 11:30, at the presidency headquarters. Face to face talks between the two presidents will be held at 11:45.

At 12:30 there will be official talks, with the participation of the members of the two delegations, and at 13:05 they will make joint press statements.

Yesterday a statement issued by the Presidential Administration in Bucharest was saying “the visit of the President of Romania to Chisinau will provide the framework for sending a strong message of support for the new President of the Republic of Moldova, as well as a message of support for Moldovan citizens”.

The two officials will adopt a Joint Declaration, which aims to strengthen the bilateral strategic partnership.
