Members of national commission for awarding merit allowances convened in meeting

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/- Minister of Education, Culture and Research Lilia Pogolșa and Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Culture, Education, Research, Youth and Media Adrian Lebedinschi chaired a meeting of the national commission for awarding merit allowances.

According to the MECC, the main issues were focused on the election of the new head of the commission and the examination of cases and the approval of the nominations submitted for the award of merit allowances etc.

Pogolșa spoke about the importance of renewing the normative framework on granting merit allowance and the need for the quarterly meeting of the national commission.

The merit allowance is given to the most prolific personalities of the national culture in the following fields: music creation, interpretive creation, cinematographic creation, literary creation, fine arts, theater art, architecture, national movable and immovable cultural heritage.

In this context, the heads of the Unions of Architects, Fine Artists, Filmmakers, Composers, Musicians, Writers and the Theater Union presented the nominations for the award of merit allowances in 2021.

The payment of the merit allowance is made from the state budget, within the approved budget allocations for the year.
