Crime ring specialized in carriage of drugs disguised in parcels destructured by police in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - Law-enforcers have de-structured a crime ring made up of four men born in Bender, specialized in the organization and carriage of drugs disguised in parcels through international routes.

According to the police, the criminal group’s activity was documented by law-enforcers during six months, when evidence was accumulated. Thus, on 16 December, one of the suspects was detained in the central Anenii Noi district, on whom a parcel was found, in which a broken up substance of white colour, similar to PVP, was discovered. Information gained established that the parcel was to be sent by a mini-bus to Slovenia, where it was to be raised by another member of the group.  

The package of drugs was sealed and sent to the police, in order to carry out the expertise needed. One of the crime ring’s members was identified and is prosecuted under the Criminal Code at large.

Under the legislation in force, if found guilty, those four members of this group run the risk 7-15 years of imprisonment.
