Moldova needs 1.5 million vaccine doses for immunization against COVID-19

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova would need 1.5 million doses of anti-COVID-19 vaccine.  

At a meeting of the Chisinau Municipal Council, the deputy head of the Social Assistance and Health General Department, Boris Galca, said that Moldova would need 1.5 million vaccine doses, which would cover the necessity of vaccination of 70 per cent of the residents.   

The official noted that the vaccination would soon start in Moldova. The necessary amount of vaccine will be provided with the support of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund and 200,000 vaccine doses will be donated to Moldova by Romania.
