As many as 990 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 30 December /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 990 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which 16 import ones. As many as 143,841 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 3,194 samples were processed to discover new cases of coronavirus, of which 2,768 primary ones and 426 – repeated.

A number of 2,910 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 245 are in extremely serious condition (51 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 1,038 people have been treated. As many as 129,539 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, 6,734 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 34,080 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 26 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with 2,960 people dead because of the virus till present.
