As many as 436 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 2 January /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 1,702 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 436 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which two import ones. As many as 145,694 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), seven out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –1, medical assistants –4 and auxiliary staff employees –2.

A number of 2,653 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 255 are in extremely serious condition (51 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus). Another 641 people have been treated. As many as 132,342 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, 6,922 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 32,247 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 16 deaths triggered by COVID-19, with the total number of dead people standing at 3,020. .
