Pandemic situation in capital's schools examined at city hall meeting

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/- 199 cases of COVID-19 are recorded in the municipal educational institutions.

Chisinau deputy mayor Angela Cutasevici said today at the online meeting of the municipal services that on 31 December in the municipal institutions there are 199 pupils with coronavirus, of which 103 are teachers and 96 are pupils.

According to the official, only six cases of coronavirus were recorded in the municipal kindergartens and 513 children were in self-isolation at home.

At the same time, the deputy mayor said that depending on the evolution of the coronavirus pandemic, a decision will be made regarding the return to study in the classroom. "The decision will be made at the national level," Cutasevici said.
