As many as 436 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 4 January /MOLDPRES/ -A number of 1,907 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 436 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed, of which three import ones. As many as 146,309 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 12 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –5, medical assistants –6 and auxiliary staff employees –1.

A number of 2,611 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 254 are in extremely serious condition (51 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 774 people have been treated. As many as 134,021 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, 6,187 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 30,802 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 17 deaths triggered by COVID-19.
