Moldovan writer - our lives took completely different turn in 2020

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/- The head of the Writers' Union of Moldova, poet, essayist and translator Arcadie Suceveanu, winner of the National Prize and Mihai Eminescu Prize of the Romanian Academy, holder of Diploma of Honor H. C. Andersen, Labor Glory Order and Order of Honor said that with the pandemic, in 2020 our life took a completely different turn.
Arcadie Suceveanu said that 2020 was a very complicated year.
He was born on November 16, 1952 in Suceveni village, Hliboca district (Adâncata). In 1974 he graduated from the State University of Chernivtsi, the Faculty of Philology, the Romanian Language and Literature department. After graduating, he worked as a teacher of Romanian language and literature in Horbova, Herța district (1974-1979) and then as editor and editor-in-chief at the Literatura artistă (Hyperion) Publishing House in Chisinau (1979-1990). He was appointed deputy head of the Writers 'Union of Moldova (since 1990), secretary and then head (since 2005) of the Chisinau branch of the Romanian Writers' Union. Since 2010, he is head of the Writers' Union of Moldova.
Suceveanu was awarded the Mihai Eminescu Prize of the Romanian Academy (1997), National Prize of Moldova (1998), Romanian Writers 'Union Prize (2016), Moldovan Writers' Union Prize (1987, 1995, 1999, 2000, 2002 ), honorary title Master of Literature (2001), medal Mihai Eminescu (2000), Labor Glory Order (2010) and Order of Honor (2012).
