Electronic payment project starts being tested in buses, trolley buses from Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 5 January /MOLDPRES/ - The implementation of an electronic payment pilot project starts in the buses and trolley buses from Chisinau.

The Chisinau general mayor, Ion Ceban, informed that the pilot project on electronic payment would be implemented in the Moldovan capital’s urban transport. According to Ceban, the testing of the electronic payment system will begin ‘’in the near future’’ and will be made by the companies MasterCard and VISA, which will bear all expenses.

The mayor noted that he had signed two separate memorandums with the leadership of each company, so that they can start the cooperation with the municipal public transport enterprises.

Ceban also said that the electronic payment system would be tested during 2-3 months, after which the electronic equipment will be set, the employees of the municipal transport enterprises would be trained, information campaigns would be held.
