Grants Programme for youth organizations for 2021 launched in Moldova

Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Education, Culture and Research Ministry (MECC) today launched the Grants Programme for youth organizations for 2021.
According to MECC, the programme is meant to back and develop the youth sector of Moldova, through which logistic and financial support will be provided, on contest basis, for the carrying out of initiatives, youth programmes and projects, thus strengthening the cooperation with the civil society.
The procedure of enforcement, assessment of files, as well as the conditions of conclusion and carrying out of the financing contract are envisaged by the framework regulation on the organization and holding of the Grants Programme for youth organizations and national/local contest of projects for young people’s initiative groups.
Non-commercial youth organizations from Moldova, which implement projects and programmes with impact on young people, can participate in the contest. The applicant organizations must have legal personality, be non-commercial organization and its statutory goals are aimed at developing the personality of young people and integrating them in the public life. To ensure the continuous development of the youth associative sector, financial means are allocated worth 1.5 million lei for supporting youth projects submitted by the organizations which have not benefited from financing through the current contest. Priority will be given to projects due to include, up to 15 per cent of all end beneficiaries, young people coming from disadvantaged environments, young people representing ethnic minorities, as well as projects due to be carried out in territorial administrative authorities, where the youth services and policies are under-developed and the regional ones, which have a territorial coverage from 5 to 15 administrative and territorial units.
The projects can be submitted till 8 February 2021.
