Moldovan capital's city hall reminds that emergency state in public health sector is maintained in city

Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Chisinau city hall reminds that the holding of festive events on the occasion of Christmas and New Year is banned in all public nourishment units and at the place of work.
The Chisinau municipal administration today issued a press release, thereby urging the city’s citizens to spend the winter holidays in their families.
The city hall also reiterated the need of observing the caution measures for preventing and combating the COVID-19 infection. The most efficient measures are: compulsory wearing of protection masks, keeping the social distance, washing hands and avoiding the crowded public places.
At the same time, the city hall reminded that, according to the provisions of the decision No 30 of the Chisinau municipality’s Extraordinary Public Health Commission from 21 December 2020, the carrying out of festive events on the occasion of Christmas and New Year is prohibited in all public nourishment units and at the working place.
The epidemiological situation through COVID-19 stays serious in the Chisinau municipality. A diminution of the morbidity through the Covid-19 infection is recorded; yet, the presence of serious and quite serious cases of infection through SARS-CoV-2 persists.
According to the situation from 4 January 2021, there are 61,454 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Chisinau; 45,186 patients have recovered, 975 died and 10,889 are under medical supervision. The same age groups remained hit: 30-39 years, 60 years and older. The indicators unveiled by the Chisinau Public Health Commission show that the emergency state in the public health sector is maintained in the Moldovan capital, for which the Red Code alert degree was established.
