Moldovan head of state has meeting with Ambassador of Latvia

Chisinau, 6 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu has had a meeting with Ambassador of Latvia to Moldova Uldis Mikuts.

At the discussion, President Maia Sandu reiterated the positive dynamic of the Moldovan-Latvian bilateral relations during years. The head of state noted that the multiple visits and bilateral meetings represented an important signal of Latvia’s support for the course of reformation and modernization of Moldova and a factor of strengthening the bilateral cooperation.  ‘’We will do our utmost, so that, in the upcoming years, we consolidate even more these friendly and cooperation relations in sectors of common interest,’’ President Maia Sandu said.   

The officials also tackled Moldova’s relations with the European Union as well. ‘’Our Latvian friends have actively backed us during years in our European integration, both bilaterally and during discussions at the European level, for which we actually thank them,’’ Maia Sandu added.
