Chisinau, 9 January /MOLDPRES/ - A well-known poet, essay writer and publicist Nicolae Dabija has said that the 2020 year resembled no one so far. ‘’The world has remained the same, but the people have become different, in some aspects – better, in the other ones – worse. At the same time, each of us has personally discovered what divine gift the communication with the fellows is,’’ the writer said.
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Nicolae Dabija said that the last year for him had been sadder than the other years, but better full with achievements. ‘’Thirty volumes were edited in the days of the 2020 year - a true library, besides those 27 printed at the Tipo Moldova Publishing House from Iasi, which include the journalism works, a volume of short stories appeared titled, Prima dragoste e totdeauna ultima (The First Love is Always the Last), a collection of poems, drawings and aphorisms, titled, Mulțumesc că te iubesc (Thank You for Loving You) at the Bestseller Publishing House and a bibliographic monograph worked out by scientific employees Lidia Kulicovski și Claudia Tricolici from the B.P. Hasdeu Municipal Library of Chisinau,’’ Dabija noted.
At the same time, the writer also participated in three big International Poetry Festivals, those from Seoul (South Korea), where he was awarded the Grand Prize, Shanghai (China) and Como (Italy), which were held online in 2020, with as many participants as in the years before.
”This is a sign that the literary life moves forward even in these conditions. Nine of my poems translated into English and Chinese were inserted in the Universal Poetry From Today – a monumental book with about 900 pages, which appeared in Chisinau on these days (authors - Zhao Lihong and Ion Deaconescu) and many other works,’’ academician Nicola Dabija stressed.
Writer Nicolae Dabija was born in the Codreni village, southern Cimislia district, on 15 July 1948. In 1972, he graduated from the Philology Faculty of the Moldovan State University. In 1975, Dabija debuted with a volume of poems titled, The Third Eye, Intact Water and many others.
He is corresponding member of Moldova’s Academy of Sciences, honorary member of the Romanian Academy, member of the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, with headquarters in Paris, laureate of the National Prize.
