As many as 298 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 10 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 1,292 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 298 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 149,391 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 17 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –7, medical assistants –7 and auxiliary staff employees –3.

A number of 2,540 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 228 are in extremely serious condition (49 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 337 people have been treated. As many as 138,440 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, 4,974 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 23,770 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another nine deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,139 people have died of coronavirus in all.
