Moldovan president attends deployment event of National Army contingent to KFOR mission in Kosovo

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/- President Maia Sandu, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, participated today in a ceremony of the National Army contingent deployment to KFOR mission in Kosovo.
"Through the participation of our military in international peacekeeping operations, the Republic of Moldova turns to good account human potential and boosts relations of cooperation with external partners, increasing their confidence in our country's capabilities to provide peace and stability," Sandu said. At the same time, the head of state noted that the Republic of Moldova is improving its image globally.
Maia Sandu stressed that the success of the efforts is also the result of long and productive cooperation with international partners. In this context, she thanked the United States of America and the Italian Republic for aid in strengthening the training capabilities of our servicemen participating in missions and for the logistical support of the National Army contingent in Kosovo operations.
