Well-known Moldovan journalist, presenter passes away

Chisinau, 11 January /MOLDPRES/ - Journalist and presenter at Radio Moldova, Master in Art, holder of the Gloria Muncii (Labour Glory) Order Alexei Revenco passed away today at 6 am.
The sad news was announced by journalist, singer Veta Ghimpu-Munteanu on her Facebook page.
Alexei Revenco became a radio man after, at the age of 20 years, following three stages of contest, he had been accepted for the position of probation announcer at the Radio Moldova station. Alexei Revenco started working at the Radio, being in the last academic year at the Fine Arts Academy, at that time the Gavriil Muzicescu Arts Institute. Since then, Revenco has dedicated 43 years to the radio activity.
He presented programmes in different sectors, theatre at microphone; his voice was behind various video spots and advertisings. Alexei Revenco’s voice distinguished itself also in films and movies broadcast at TV. Art people know him from concerts or events during which he participated as presenter.
Alexei Revenco was also to present the event of swearing in office of Moldova’s President Maia Sandu. Unfortunately, on 23 December, he was hospitalized along with his wife, radio announcer Maricica Munteanu, both confirmed positive for COVID-19.
In 2007, Alexei Revenco was awarded the titled Aster in Art and in 2010 he was awarded the Labour Glory Order for the work of editor and announcer at the Radio News Department.
