Moldovan president meets parliament speaker of Ukraine

Chisinau, 12 January /MOLDPRES/ - President Maia Sandu, on an official visit to Kiev, today had a meeting with Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) of Ukraine Dmytro Razumkov. The discussion was focused on the cooperation between the two countries on the parliamentary dimension.

„I thank Mr. Dmytro Razumkov for the invitation to this political dialogue. We hope to soon have a functional partnership, which will reset the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations at the level of parliaments as well,’’ Maia Sandu said after the meeting.

At the same time, the Moldovan president noted that the two countries had in common more problems which must be solved, as well as many cooperation opportunities and a functional and representative parliament was a key institution, an indispensable pillar to fully use the potential of this strategic partnership.
