Moldova's parliament holds 33 plenary meetings, adopts 259 legislative acts in 2020

Chisinau, 13 January /MOLDPRES/ - Moldova’s parliament held 33 plenary meetings in 2020, during which 259 legislative acts were adopted, of which 2010 laws and 49 decisions.
According to data by the parliament’s secretariat, at the spring-summer session, held on the period 3 February-20 July, the lawmakers held 21 plenary meetings. In the autumn session, which started on 1 September and ended on 16 December, 11 plenary meetings took place.
During the two sessions, the MPs passed 209 organic laws, of which 28 framework laws, 148 laws for amendment and completion and 34 laws for ratifications. An ordinary law was adopted too.
The parliament also held a meeting within an extraordinary session for the swearing in office of Moldova’s president.
In 2019, the parliament of the tenth legislative period held 31 plenary meetings.
