Chisinau city hall seeks solutions to provide transportation on route No178

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall took note of the suspension of the activity of municipal public transport routes, served by private operators, No125 and 178 and identifies solutions to overcome the problem.

Thus, as a result of the discussions between Durlești city hall, the General Directorate of Public Transport and Communications and the administrator of route No125, the economic agent resumed its activity on an abbreviated route. Following the changes, next week, DGTPCC will reorganize bus route No11 on Livezilor street in Durlești to provide citizens with transportation.

Currently, 38 municipal public transport routes are served by minibuses, 493 units were authorized for traffic.

To improve the transportation services of citizens on municipal routes, last year, Chisinau city hall purchased five new articulated trolleybuses from Belarus, assembled in Chisinau, as well as a batch of 25 units from Riga.
