Moldovan theatre, film critic says 2020 was year of ordeal

Chisinau, 14 January /MOLDPRES/ - The theatre and film critic, Master in Art Larisa Ungureanu has said that 2020 had been an year of ordeal because of the pandemic. On this period, the critic wrote a little, but systematized her archive, as she has a huge one, accumulated during half a century. Ungureanu used a part of this archive when she created the website, Web-encyclopedia of the Moldovan film (www.cinema.art.md).
Contacted by MOLDPRES, Larisa Ungureanu said that she had been member of the selection jury of the national film festival, carried out by Moldova’s Union of Cinema Men, in partnership with the National Cinematography Centre within the project, Filme din Moldova on-line (Online Films from Moldova), held on 2-8 September 2020 (at Moldova 1 channel and online on Facebook).
Larisa Ungureanu was born in the Opaci village, south-eastern Causeni district, on 11 March 1949. She graduated from the Chisinau-based State University, Philology Faculty, specialty the Romanian Language and Literature, specialization journalism (1965-1970). Ungureanu made post-graduation education: probation at the Art History Institute; Russian State University of Cinematography (VGIK) from Moscow (1974-75) and trained for her doctor’s degree at the Institute of History and Theory of Film (Moscow) (1975-77), probation at the Moscow-based M. Lomonosov State University (MGU) (1984). In 1979, Ungureanu maintained her thesis of doctor in arts’ studies in Moscow.
Larisa Ungureanu is author of more books. In 2009, she was awarded the honorific title Master in Art.
