Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/- Chisinau city hall will encourage people of culture to educate the young generation in the spirit of cultural values.

On the occasion of the National Day of Culture and the 171st birth anniversary of poet Mihai Eminescu, Chisinau mayor Ion Ceban said that the mission of the act of culture is to make the world better, and the municipality will encourage people to educate the young generation in the spirit of cultural values. "The culture of a people is what it represents," he said.

According to the official, in addition to material things, man also needs spiritual nourishment: “It is our duty to put more emphasis on the development of the cultural field, in order to leave to the next generations things that really matter.
