As many as 576 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 15 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 3,108 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 576 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 152,263 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 18 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –4, medical assistants –9 and auxiliary staff employees –5.

A number of 2,291 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 224 are in extremely serious condition (40 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

Another 992 people have been treated. As many as 141,975 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

In the context, 3,966 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 18,357 are under supervision at the domicile.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 17 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,228 people have died of coronavirus in all.
