Moldovan acting premier's message on occasion of Diplomat's Day

Chisinau, 17 January /MOLDPRES/ - Distinguished diplomatic corps,

Dear colleagues,

Starting from 2015, each year, the professional Day of Diplomat is marked.   

I am quite pleased and honored to take advantage of this occasion, in order to express deep gratitude for the prodigious work of the Moldovan diplomacy, of all colleagues both from the central apparatus of the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry and of the country’s diplomatic and consular missions from abroad.   

The scrupulous, venturesome and professional work you carry out to consolidate the profile of Moldova on the external stage is highly appreciated both by the communities of Moldovans abroad and the citizens from our country.  

Moldova’s diplomacy has proved, despite the pandemic’s challenges, a high degree of professional mobilization and responsibility, providing prompt assistance to tens of thousands of fellow countrymen, hit all over the world, as well as the promotion of our national interests, especially against the background of directing assistance and facilitating the exchange of information with our international partners, which are so vital in combating the consequences of COVID-19 and strengthening the national health system.    

The present crisis had an impact on our private lives; therefore, with special respect, I convey thoughts of sincere appreciation to the family members, who have backed you on all this complicated period.

The absolute priority of the foreign policy is outlined clearly and pragmatically: Moldova stays firmly anchored in the European modernization process, which is the principal goal of the country’s domestic and external agenda.   

On this nice occasion, on behalf of the government and the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry, I wish good health, new achievements and highly appreciations of the results of your activity,
