Number of serious, very serious cases of COVID-19 increased in Chisinau

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/- The incidence of coronavirus disease is high in Chisinau. The number of serious and very serious cases has increased.

The head of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Health, Tatiana Bucearschi, said today at the online meeting of the municipal services that the state of increased epidemiological alert remains in the capital, given that the incidence of coronavirus cases is high and the number of very serious cases increased.

According to the official, in the municipal health institutions there are 680 patients hospitalized with COVID-19, given available 392 treatment places.

At the same time, Bucearschi said that a plan will be launched for training the medical staff for the vaccination process. Local authorities are not responsible for procuring vaccine and central authorities will have to implement the immunization plan against COVID-19.
