All schools in Moldova operating with physical presence of pupils

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/- On 15 January no general education institution in the country operates remotely due to quarantine, and there are seven classes in self-isolation.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), the number of pupils tested positive for COVID-19 is 102, and 1114 pupils were placed in self-isolation. 163 teachers have been confirmed positive with the new Coronavirus and 86 are in isolation. Of the non-teaching and auxiliary staff, 63 people were infected with the new virus, and another 23 are in self-isolation.
"In early education institutions, currently, four kindergartens and 14 groups of children are in quarantine. There are four children tested positive for COVID-19 virus and another 603 are in self-isolation. 71 teachers were positively confirmed and 63 in self-isolation. Of the non-teaching and auxiliary staff, 67 people were infected with the new virus, and another 50 are in self-isolation ", MECC said.
The Ministry of Education, Culture and Research urges school managers, teachers and students to continue to comply with all measures to protect against COVID-19 virus.
