No blocked road segments recorded in Moldova

Chisinau, 18 January /MOLDPRES/ - There are no blocked road segments in Moldova at present and the accessibility of the road infrastructure is ensured.

According to the State Administration of Roads (ADS), works of patrol, combating the glazed frost and clearing the snow have been carried out on national public roads. This after low air temperatures were recorded on the night of 17 to 18 January all over Moldova, with snow.

„The territorial units of the stock company Drumiri (Roads) used, in the technological process, 130 special units and involved 246 road workers. The roads’ managers continuously monitor all dangerous road segments, so that any difficulty appeared in traffic is quickly settled,’’ ASD said.      

The State Administration of Roads warns drivers to comply with the provisions of the road traffic regulation as to the vehicles’ endowment and driving in winter conditions. If difficulties appear, to ask for roadmen’s intervention, the participants in the traffic can call the phone numbers: 22-55-30; 74-89-61; 060 477 117.   

In the next 24 hours, the air temperature will oscillate between -10 and -15 degrees at night and between -5 and -10 degrees during the day. Snow is expected in some regions, especially in northern Moldova.
