2020 - of great significance for me - Moldovan writer says

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/- For poet, journalist and prose writer Ion Anton 2020 was of great significance. Thus, despite the obstacles created by the coronavirus, the writer said he tried his best to rejoice for his 70 years, marked on 3 December 2020.
Anton said that in 2020 he published the novel-chronicle, The Great Nanu or the genealogical oak Dicescu, with an annotation signed by academician Mihai Cimpoi.
He was awarded the Honorary Diploma of the International Council of the Book for Children and Youth for the volume of cognitive lyrics, Merry guide for the locker room, addressed to preschoolers and pupils. Also, the Special Award of the Governing Council of the Writers' Union of Moldova in 2020. Anton was awarded the Prize of the National Library of the Republic of Moldova for the novel, Coming out of oblivion, which was in the top 10 most read books in 2020, according to the survey conducted by the moderators of the republican action, LecturaCentral.
Ion Anton was born on December 3, 1950, in Ghelăuza, Straseni district. In 1977, he graduated with honors from the journalism department of the Faculty of Letters of the State University of Moldova. In 1977-1987 he was general secretary of the weekly, Literature and Art. From 1987 to 1994 he was the general secretary and deputy editor-in-chief of the weekly magazine for children and adolescents Florile Dalbe. In 1994 he was appointed editor-in-chief of the same magazine.
