379 wanted persons detained by law enforcement

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/- On 24 December 2020 - 14 January 2021, the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Investigation Inspectorate carried out the search operation throughout the country. Thus, 379 people were found and detained.

According to the police, during the operation, the investigation officers together with the police officers from all over the country undertook actions to search for criminals who evade the criminal investigation bodies, trial, deserters, escaped convicts, missing persons without missing persons and identification of bodies.

As a result of the activities, the police detained 379 people, of which 184 were detained for committing serious crimes, such as bodily harm, rape, theft, robbery, scams and illegal drug trafficking. It has also been established the whereabouts of a person announced in search as a missing person without a trace.

The search operation takes place twice a year.
