Subsidies in advance for development of rural settlements can be requested in Moldova till 27 January

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ - The Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry (MADRM) reminds that 27 January 2021 is the last day for submitting files on demanding subsidies in advance, in order to improve and develop the rural public infrastructure and diminish tendencies of social and economic decline in villages; only nine applications have been submitted so far.
The files are received by the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA), according to the Regulation on the providing of subsidies to improve the living and labour standards in the rural environment from the National Fund for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Environment. (FNDAMR).
Under the Regulation, the following entities are eligible for getting subsidies in advance: the administrative and territorial units of the first level (villages and communes with a population of up to 10,000 inhabitants with status of resident, according to the last population and housing census) and the legal entities or private people from rural settlements who create or develop non-agricultural activities.
The support measures provide for the improvement and development of the public rural economic infrastructure (1); restoration and development of rural settlement (2); diversification of the rural economy through non-agricultural activities (3).
The maximal value of the financial support provided by the state for the measures No 1 and 2 account for 80 per cent for one eligible project worth up to 3 million lei and for the measure No 3 – 50 per cent for an eligible project worth up to one million lei.
The files on asking for the subsidy in advance will be submitted by the mayor – for the measures No 1 and No 2 and by the manager/legal representative – for the measure No 3, according to the Regulation, to the section/territorial service of AIPA from the area where the applicant has his/her legal headquarters and in which he will make the investment.
