As many as 394 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Moldova in last 24 hours

Chisinau, 19 January /MOLDPRES/ - A number of 2,550 samples have been processed in Moldova in the last 24 hours and 394 cases of infection with the new-type coronavirus were confirmed. As many as 153,506 COVID-19 cases have been registered in Moldova so far.

According to data put out by the Health, Labour and Social Protection Ministry (MSMPS), 21 out of all cases are medical employees: physicians –8, medical assistants –11 and auxiliary staff -2.

A number of 2,233 patients confirmed with COVID-19 are put in hospitals, of whom 233 are in extremely serious condition (33 patients are connected to assisted breathing apparatus).

In the context, 3,831 persons are treated at home with easy forms of coronavirus and 19,779 are under supervision at the domicile.

Another 436 people have been treated. As many as 143,766 people were treated of COVID-19 in all.

At the same time, MSMPS informs about the registration of another 15 deaths triggered by COVID-19 and 3,282 people have died of coronavirus in all.
